About

Hello, there! 👋 I’m Gracielle!

This is me having a cup of mocha latte in front of La Grande Roue de Montréal, Canada. I’m originally from Brazil, where I started my academic career in Ecology and Evolution, worked in a veterinary hospital, in an herbarium, and started some open communities around science communication, Julia programming and education. Then I moved to Canada and became a professional data science educator and community manager, all that while doing research in ecological interactions.

Currently I help coordinating a cross-Canadian training program on Computational Biodiversity, teach R at R for the Rest of Us, champion EDIA for the Digital Research Alliance of Canada and mentor people on Open Science frameworks.
